We support companies with good ethical practices and we actively work to reduce our carbon footprint by recycling and unplugging our tools when they're not being used. We believe every individual can promote positive environmental change by adopting more mindful practices and by being a responsible consumer.

Kat, the owner of One On One Salon, is passionate about doing good business, respecting the balance between work and nature. She recognizes the potential harm in products that carry harsh unnatural ingredients and so when she opened she sought a hair care line who’s ideas were parallel to her own. Kevin Murphy was truly the perfect fit. “I love the integrity of the company and how genuine they are. They‘re perfectly branded with purpose”. Kevin Murphy announced this year that they will be packaging all of their products in recycled ocean plastic bottles and offer an incentive to return emptlies so they can be recycled endlessly by the company. The company also responsibly sources their organic ingredients and their products are never tested on animals. “They care about their ingredients, results, and every decision in between. Doing Good

Part of being in business means welcoming the support of your community. We are so grateful for the support we receive all year long that we feel it’s our duty to give back to those in need throughout the world. Every month ALL of the following charities are supported by our profits. The organizations we chose to donate to stand out as exempliary and we hold them all very close to our hearts: CARE, UnBound, Pencils of Promise, and Charity Water. 

We really love our small town so we also donate monthly to the Winnekee Land Trust Foundation which actively fights to conserve our natural landscapes and improve recreation in the village of Rhinebeck and surrounding areas.
